Friday with Ishi

me and Ishi planned to meet up for lunch and just hang out for the afternoon together :3 LOL i misread his text to me saying he was eating ice cream outside Mango..i ended up going to RED MANGO XD which was on the opposite side of his location lolololol o well exercise! yey! i finally caught up with Ishi with blond hair, coz the other times we met, his hair was dark XD

i brought him to one of my favourite cafes near our old school. cafe nomenom (i think that was the name XD i always have problem remembering the spelling) anyway, the kuya still remembers my orders even after 2 years :)) i was like, 'kuya what did i order before? did i eat the roast beef?' HAHAHAHA he remembered i liked the tuna salpicao and the beef XDDD hoho so me and Ishi both had the roast beef with rice and veggies :3 yom yom

we spent hours chatting about our work, bleaching hair, studying japanese, chinese, korean and hong kong XD we were both kowloon babies haha :p after nomming, Ishi asked me where was the nearest milk tea place so i brought him to serenitea near the condo. and anyway they had wifi too so we scooted over there :))

February 5, 2012 - me & sir alcs met up after his classes to attend baby nico's baptismal reception at athena & kuya eric's house :D it was a pretty fancy spread; buffet, handmade decorations & party favors full of parental love~

jaro came to my place reaaaaaally early. i was barely awake because we agreed he would pick me up around 11am but he came round like before 9am jhlfdkjgvklfdg anyway, we had a car, so we headed to sir GK's atelier first in taft to return some clothes jaro had pulled out last year. then we drove to trinoma, & went to mcdonalds (we were soo thirsty..i havent had any water since last night because my supply had run out LOL) we bought drinks then it was off to bench fix for jaro to get a haircut. his hair looked better now; nice and clean XD after that it was time for lonch! *A* we had planned to eat at hapa dog in sm north

after 'dessert', we went to Nature republic a few floors up. i didnt plan on buying anything but ended up getting new nailpolish (one in black & the other in barbie pink) + a bamboo face mask for jaro just so i could reach the 300php quota and avail of the free facial wash XD sorry im truly desperate to get another one of the apple facial wash *A* lololol and i just couldnt resist the barbie pinkness of that polish...DX despite the price tag, i havent really seen any colour close to it. lovelove~ we headed to tony moly after, but only to browse XD jaro thought it was an accessories store & not a makeup store LOL he liked the cute packaging of the products though :3

we had happy lemon after our mall adventures; jaro had the milk tea with pearls and i tried their chocolate with rock salt & cheese. hmmm it was ok; lol the rock salt cheese was indeed salty XD blended really nice with the chocolate when its still freshly made, but after awhile it seems to lose the taste o.o anyway, me and jaro chilled outside for awhile, sipping our tea & sharing stories. LOL we are still gong cha purists though...he was not happy with his lemon XDDDD

so majolica majorca had a 20% off sale, and i was lucky enough to catch it :D they were giving away freebies for every 1.5k purchase; it was either a jewel mirror or a mascara keychain (but this was only free if you purchased any majolica majorca mascara..which cost too much together with the stuff i wanted so i just forgot about that idea..plus i dont really wanna buy their mascara yet coz i heard they will be releasing a new version) i REALLY wanted their perfume coz im crazy about the scent...its sooo sexy :D i can sniff it all day XD so i got that at 20% off, as well as an automatic pen liner and honey plump gloss.

after taking the bus to sm north, we snuck upstairs to the sky garden (coz the entrance at the bottom was closed..so we told the guard we were with these group of people he let in before us LOL) i got thirsty from walking in cubao so i ended up buying gongcha...although they were all out of pearl milk teas so i chose to try their matcha milk tea..*A* it was alright, too much milk imo & little bit sweet, but after the ice has all melted into the drink, it was fine :3 the colour is sooo cute though XDDD like an adorable mint green 8D

we drove to trinoma & after dropping off jesse's cousin with her friends, we strolled to sm north to try our luck at shisha in persia grill XD we ordered strawberry shisha with a beer bucket. the place was full, even outside.. they did manage to give us a table...but facing the walkway of the sky garden LOL so all the people passing by had a good view of us drinking & smoking XDD

everything was fine til it started to rain :p but anyways we brought umbrellas xD stupid schizo weather...the rain kept coming & going like an idiot. bleh. & persia grill closes early wtf..so we were only able to enjoy maybe 4 rounds of the smoke & charcoal :( BAH since we still had lots of time, we just walked around the sky garden and even hung out at hapa dog until it was time to leave. we made plans to drive to my place & drink soju :)

we bought food, soju, drinks & snacks, then played videogames too..i brought out my trusty psone 8D we had some rounds of Dead or Alive & other fighting games..then watched Dokuro chan on dvd XDD jesse & his cousin went home around 5am coz they had to take the car early; me & joru passed out after a few more episodes of dokuro chan XD

January 6, 2012 - me & jesse planned to go to megamall today coz he needed to look for new ram for his sick pc. we headed out after some lonch. fried rice & sweet hom :))

i asked for fried egg with it to make it taste like a classic breakfast lelz.

we tried to get a diagnose for the older ram that jesse brought, but unfortunately they did not have that service X3 so we ended up buying new ram in another store.

January 4, 2012 - me & jesse slept earlier than usual (i think 3am XD) we wanted to catch the 2:45pm movie at sm taytay & we also had to drop by the bank for his errands :3 before heading off, we had some lonch 8D lookit that huge christmas ham XD

January 3, 2012 - went to megamall to meet up with jesse; he was at penshoppe shoppin for clothes & we would be going back to his place together :3 but first, i needed a cold drink XD i spent a good few minutes trying to locate bubbatealicious..graaah i keep forgetting where they were. ran into sir lev & louie jay as i was getting in line to order :3 yey! louie jay said he always orders his favourite flavour, taro milk tea :3

i tried their strawberry milk tea...hmm a little sour but refreshing since its all juicy :)) me & jesse went to the grocery to shop for ingredients for dinner :D we got some meat to fry & we planned to make jesse's special gravy YEEEEEEEEEEY 8Q! we also bought stuff for pasta & yom yom waffles :3

i love mixing the siopao sauce into my soup X) but i prefer to do it little by little..i enjoy savoring the moment when the thick sweet sauce mingles with the soup & noodles in my mouth haha ;3

January 1, 2012 - had new years brunch at Sambokojin :D we went to the restaurant before noon so we got good dibs on the food XD first, i had my plate heaped high with their array of sushi selection :p

they had lots of fresh raw tuna. yummy~

they even had tofu steak! :Q silky goodness!

i had a tiny bowl of rice & filled that with their katsudon X) one of my favourites in the buffet.

i think this was my favourite dessert X)

sambokojin is nice; i think their cooked dishes tasted alot better than the ones in yakimix; although their choices of grilling meats were a tad fatty for my taste (thats why i did not have any meat) but the sushi selection was also tasty(albeit some weird ones XD but they do make for some nice photo ops ;p) & some of the dessert pieces were also good, plus points to the chocolate fountain XD

December 31, 2011 - me and dad and my brother went on a mini road trip to get some errands done. first we drove to cellos donuts to pick up some sweets for tonights media noche :D then it was off to yellowcab to place orders for pizzas, then the grocery for snacks, fruits & ingredients for fruit salad LOL and then dropping off the huge japanese music box :3 after that, we headed to marikina to pick up more ordered food & to buy flowers.

December 30, 2011 - took a roadtrip with the family to tagaytay :3 of course the pup came along with us XD

we had some mcdonalds snack before heading out..traffic was quite evident o.o eventually, we made it for late lunch at Ming's restaurant in tagaytay.

some purchases & the fresh fruit pomegranate mask sheet freebie also from Face Shop :D bought a tube of eyelash glue & herb day cleansing wipes from Face Shop in shangrila before going to toycon and kpop nation X) it was an extremely hot day so i was forced to buy some wipes to refresh my face Dx and it was lucky this branch had some stock of eyelash glue...this saves me the trouble of looking for em in megamall.

the rice meals are extremely filling XD they use really good japanese rice coupled with the generous slabs of meat, hence it can get quite heavy. still its a delightful tastebud experience ;P

December 28, 2011 - attended toycon anime figure special with borgy, jesse & joru. i arrived past noon coz my brother drove me to the station a little late and the amount of people on the train was staggering Dx stress! anyway, i had lunch first with my friends before exploring anymore of the cons :3

i planned to get Moonleaf milk tea coz i heard there was a branch just behind kfc XD i couldnt see it at first but thank god for the green tea leaf logo, i was able to locate them, just near the bat cave :))

i ordered a hakka milk tea (brown sugar) from moonleaf & conveniently forgot to ask them to add pearls XD anyway, the place was spacious & also has wifi :D i got my milk tea to go, then me and mum dropped by Teology as well; i planned to order a nice cup of milk tea for the next day X) i saw their banner outside the store advertising some lovely looking flavours :D

i do so enjoy the word art & doodles in teology :))

December 26, 2011 - brunch with mum at moshi moshi :D i was having a hard time deciding where to eat in katipunan, but anyway, i chose moshi moshi again. was kinda craving for their chicken mayo rice bowl X) the inside of the store was still in cheery christmas mode. i sat behind the christmas tree xD

Christmas dinner at Ramen Bar :D we headed to eastwood to look for someplace to eat; originally we planned to grab food at sambokojin but the place was packed. luckily, i spotted ramen bar while we were driving around; and there were very few people around that time. yey! ive read about ramen bar from a restaurant review somewhere before and ive always been eager to try it. the interior looked soooo holiday cheerful! lovin the cute snowmen & poinsettias everywhere :3 and they have free wifi! LOL

the menu was simple, printed only on one side, so the waitress showed us an ipad with full color pictures of the dishes so we can choose better :))

vanilla ice cream stuffed in fried tempura batter X) the batter shells were a little difficult to chew but yommy :3 the dish comes with a lone wafer on top, and everything is drizzled in chocolate syrup.

ramen bar is a really good place to try authentic japanese ramen. the price is a little bit steep, but the flavours of the noodles & soup are worth a try ;3 the other dishes are really good too.

the cream was not too sweet or buttery; it tasted like heaven :D maybe coz its made of yogurt X) the bottom of the cake was laden with juicy fresh strawberries, the body of the cake was a chiffon cake. it was a good balance of sweetness, sour juicy & fluffy cake :3 the tiny cream leaves at the side were dusted with green tea powder *0* i wish they also made a cake in that flavour!

we had dinner at mann hann coz the foodcourt was too full of people. i had their beef broccoli rice bowl :3 yom yom. we also ate balut we bought earlier xD

best radish cakes ever! im very fond of radish cakes but so far, mann hann's has the best :D good consistency & texture as well as flavour.

got some new stuff from our greenhills shopping trip! 2 new sega prize toys & a pair of adorable floral flats :))

i got kagami in summer seifuku & waitress mikuru :D luckily, i dropped by Wasabi toys that day and turns out they were having a sale but it was only until january 1st >< they had so much sega prize stock like haruhi, konata & i think maybe they also had tsukasa but i didnt bother searching anymore to confirm my suspicions coz i didnt have enough money XD each cost only 800 so that was a real bargain!

finally i had a perfect waitress mikuru figure 8) and kagami looked so adorable with her hair up on twin buns :B

Tous Les Jours Christmas Cake

got my christmas cake real fast from tous les jours. i only had to wait around for less than 10 minutes for my order :3 i got the rose inspiration cake. as usual, the glass cases were laden with the bakery's super cute cakes! and the ate assisting me said that tomorrow (the 24th) was already fully booked with orders. some even bought 3-6 cakes. XD

i sat down at one of the tables while waiting for mom & dad. they said we will go to greenhills after this; they took a loooong time..guessing traffic was bad since it was a friday.

i was also getting sleepy waiting so i bought a can of mild canned coffee..the taste was nice :3 not too sweet or bitter either. the ate offered to refrigerate my cake since she noticed i have been waiting for almost an hour XD but anyway, after mom & dad found me, i showed them pics of the cake from my phone; they instantly loved it because it was sooo cute and the price was just right :) im so happy i got my christmas cake; it was my first time to try it from tous les jours X)

Hapa Dog Holidays

December 23, 2011 - journeyed to the north on a friday afternoon & had a relaxing lunch at Hapa Dog while waiting for my ride home :D we had agreed to meet at 4pm, so i had enough time to eat comfortably, as well as look around the mall awhile; i needed to get some stuff before buying the cake later at tous les jours :3 i was staaarving by the time i got to the restaurant, so i ordered a tori don + some crunchy beef korokke balls :3 they are so deeelicious while piping hot..very crispy! the mayo & sauce made it even more appetizing.

i relaxed until 3:30pm before heading out into the mall; the radio was even playing classic rock & 80's music; perfect for karaoke XD

BBQ Pork Toppers

been nommin mini stop's bbq pork toppers since this week i'm in need of super fast food xD (aka something i can shove quickly in my mouth and will last me for 3 hours at most LOL) lucky they had some available..coz it's usually out of stock.

the pork pieces were ok; at least they were edible & not fatty XD the crunchy skin is good too, especially when the batch is freshly cooked. toppers taste better when the rice is piping hot P: well, i think everything tastes better with freshly cooked rice XD
